Shuffler® Music Converter 4

Converting Files

Right at the top is the type of audio file to be converted to - Wave, Mp3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio), in the above example Wave file is selected. Each audio type has compression, or quality options shown below the buttons:

Wave

Wave files can be written as Standard Wave File (PCM on the Wave output option page), this should be fine for creating an audio CD if 44.100kHz, 16bit Stereo is selected. To alter the Wave compression type click on the Change button.

Mp3

The main option for Mp3 files is Bit Rate, the higher this number the better the resulting Mp3 file will sound, but the bigger the file will be. For most people 128kbps or 160kbps is fine.

WMA (Windows Media Audio)

As with Mp3 the higher the kbps the better the resulting file will sound.

A list of all the files to be converted can be shown with List Files To Convert.

Right at the bottom of the page is Save Converted File(s) this is where the converted files should be written.

Click Convert to begin conversion. If there are files that would be over written by conversion this page is shown:

Click Yes to overwrite the existing file(s), or right click on the filename shown and select Rename - type in a new filename to write to a different file, then click Yes.

That is it, your audio files will be converted with ease. Be sure to visit Illustrate's web site for additional great audio programs in the Shuffler series.
